The location
Pink salon walls, taxidermy birds and vintage radios — a production designer’s fever dream, ready-lit.
The Curio House is what happens when a production designer buys a house and never stops dressing it. The magenta salon alone holds forty framed works, a wall of birds, a fleet of Bakelite radios and a mustard velvet sofa that has appeared in three streaming series.
Every room commits to a different palette — rose, ochre, robin’s-egg — with symmetrical sight lines and centered doorways that directors of a certain visual school request specifically.
Shoot it as-is for instant art direction, or use the house’s prop archive: two thousand cataloged pieces, on shelves, ready to move.
