The location
Stone, ivy and leaded glass — the cottage every fairy tale storyboard is drawn from.
Fernwood is pure storybook: a 1928 Tudor with a hand-cut stone arch, ivy climbing the half-timbering, leaded windows that glow amber at dusk, and a cottage garden that peaks twice a year.
Directors use it when a single exterior has to establish warmth, history or once-upon-a-time — it has played a professor’s house, a witch’s cottage and a Christmas-movie hero home in the last three seasons alone.
The garden path gives a natural forty-foot push-in to the arched door, and the street is wide, quiet and permit-friendly.
