The location

A glass-walled pool with an underwater lounge, outdoor cinema and sunken fire pit.

Solana was built to entertain, which makes it a gift to shoot. The centerpiece is a raised glass-walled pool — camera can shoot through the acrylic wall into the water — ringed by an outdoor cinema wall, a sunken conversation pit and layered tropical planting that hides every neighbor.

The single-level main house opens on two full sides, so interiors and exteriors cut together seamlessly. Night exteriors are the specialty here: integrated lighting throughout the landscape means the location half-lights itself.

Fifteen minutes from the studios over the hill, with none of the hillside permit friction.
